Infrastructure Design

Would you hire a technology company to design your building or office space? Then why do so many businesses rely on their architect to design their technology infrastructure? Most architects know nothing of the limitations and installation details pertaining to low voltage wiring and technology infrastructure design. In fact, almost every design that we have reviewed for a client has required changes in order to properly meet the client's needs! If the drawings for the design have already been approved and sealed, this means additional costs for the client. At a minimum, any changes made require additional time spent to make modifications that could have been avoided by hiring a technology company to create the design.
eFusion Systems has been helping clients with their technology infrastructure designs since 2002. Our attention to detail and frequent, persistent communications with all parties involved have been the most important factors in successfully getting the job done right the first time, every time! Additionally, if we are hired to install the technology infrastructure that we designed, the design fees are waived!
Did you know???

Check out the following tidbits of information related to this technology or service! The more you know about something, the more likely you are to make good, informed decisions when it comes time to implement it!
- When your design includes running wiring of any type through your ceiling, be sure to find out whether your build-out requires plenum-grade cabling. If it does, be sure that any quotes you receive for wiring clearly specify plenum-grade cabling as part of the cost. Since plenum-grade cable costs so much more than non-plenum, companies will try to win a bid by quoting a job as non-plenum and then applying the cost of the plenum-grade cable as a change order! Even worse, if the installer doesn't know any better and runs non-plenum cable in a space that requires plenum cable, the entire job will have to be re-done at an increased cost!
- The days of separate, proprietary systems such as telephone, video surveillance, and access control are gone. All of these systems are now capable of utilizing your network for transport of information, convenient access for monitoring and configuration, and integration for increased efficiency! Make sure you don't waste money installing legacy systems that will never be able to communicate over your network. Even if the cost is a bit higher up front to install network enabled systems, the total savings through efficiency, convenience, and ease of use will more than make up for it in the long run!
